Sup everyone here's the second It's Hip Hop's featured artist... Beyond Belief
Beyond Belief is a 20-year old emcee hailing from Rockaway, New York. With the help of Super-producer "Kwame" Beyond Belief has already made a name for himself. His first single "Don't Touch" has already been added to regular rotation on MusicChoice and many other radio stations. Even with Immediate comparisons to Eminem, Bubba Sparxxx, and even Vanilla Ice Beyond Belief (Bob) doesn't let this common stigma impact him in any way. “There’s no getting around the comparisons, but at the end of the day I let my music speak for itself.”
While most people in Rockaway look to carry on the tradition of becoming firefighters or police officers, Bob’s aspirations to be an emcee make him a commodity within the community.
Bob was first introduced to hip hop in the early 90’s by his older brother, Eric. It was artists like Wu Tang, Big Pun, Jay Z, and Biggie that first attracted Bob to hip hop, but he soon began to delve deeper, listening to artists like Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Run DMC, & the Beastie Boys. His love of hip-hop grew into a true understanding and appreciation of the music.
At the age of 14 Bob began working with Kwame, developing a unique sound that would ultimately carve out the musical niche that we hear today in his music. The sound that they have developed is not only influenced by the music Bob listens to (which extends beyond hip-hop to classic rock staples such as the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, the Eagles, etc.), but also by the environment Bob grew up in which is not your typical New York neighborhood. With a predominantly Irish population, Rockaway is often referred to as a college town without the college, where drinking and partying is a way of life.
