Busta Rhymes Speaks On Changing Album Title, Release Date, and More

After reports surfaced last week claiming that hip-hop superstar Busta Rhymes was dropped from his label, Interscope Records, Busta gave Hot 97 a call and spoke to DJ Envy, confirming not only his departure from Interscope, but his new label deal.

Frequent delays of Busta's eighth studio album and a heated debate between him and label head Jimmy Iovine sum up Busta's decision to walk away from the label.

However, on New York's Hot 97 show, Busta insists that he and Dr. Dre are still on good standing. "Me and Dre are still good," Busta says. "So even though I'm not in business with Aftermath or Interscope, I'm still with Aftermath. Me and Dre are always gonna be good."

Busta's new album, which was originally titled Blessed, is now dubbed B.O.M.B, an acronym for 'Back On My Bullshit'. The album is slated to be released on December 9th, the same day as fellow hip-hopper 50 Cent is scheduled to drop his upcoming album, Before I Self Destruct.

Busta also unveiled the title of his first single, expected to hit airwaves soon. "I just want the world to know it's official. New single from Busta Rhymes' new album, B.O.M.B., is called 'Arab Money'. Let's do it."

50 Cent, Kanye, and Busta now dropping pretty much the same week, should get interesting.
