Gucci Mane To Serve 1 Year In Jail

Gucci Mane has been ordered to serve a year in jail for violating probation stemming from an assault conviction for hitting a promoter in the head with a pool cue three years ago in Atlanta.

Superior Court Judge John J. Goger sent Mane to the Fulton County Jail after a hearing Friday. Goger sentenced Davis to six months in jail and 6 1/2 years probation in October 2005 after he pleaded no contest to aggravated assault and assault with a deadly weapon.

The 28-year-old rapper was arrested in Henry County on July 23 and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and DUI. He was released on $3,300 bond.
