Lil' Wayne and Bow Wow To Co-Star In Movie With Forrest Whitaker

Dimension Films announced that Hip-Hop superstar Lil Wayne and Bow Wow will star in the upcoming movie Hurricane Season. The two rappers will play alongside Academy Award-winner Forrest Whitaker.

The movie is based on the true story of Al Collins (Forrest Whitaker), the basketball coach at John Ehret High in Louisiana, who led his Patriots to the state championship a year after Hurricane Katrina ravaged the school and displaced many of its students.

Weezy also recorded a song for the movie titled "Tie My Hand" featuring R&B star Robin Thicke.

Bob Weinstein, co-chair of The Weinstein Company stated, "We are very excited about Hurricane Season and thrilled that the film has now inspired Lil Wayne's powerful song."

Lil Wayne is happy to be a part of this project. "With all the tragedy that my home [New Orleans] has suffered these last few years since Katrina, I was glad to see that someone wanted to show that through everything New Orleans also has some positive things going on. I am also very happy that Hurricane Season is not only my first major part in a motion picture movie, but a movie about where I grew up," said the rapper.

Release date and the roles of the two rappers have yet to be revealed.

Lil' Wayne's everywhere now, but I can't see him acting very well.
