The Cool Kids Set To Release Debut Album

Lately, The Cool Kids are doing more than just touring America with Q-Tip [click to read] and EPMD's DJ Scratch for the 2K Sports Bounce Tour [click to read]. In addition to stopping in 19 cities and featuring on NBA 2K9 as playable characters, the Midwest duo is also prepping for their upcoming album titled, When Fish Ride Bicycles.

“We’re about to embark on a whole new section of our lives here. We’re about to throw out this album, and this is our first album so it means a lot to us. We worked really hard on it and we’re ready to start unveiling the joints to everybody. We’re really hyped about getting on the road and performing the new joints and seeing what everybody thinks,” said Chuck Inglish to website RubyHornet.com.

The LP will be the pair's debut full-length album. Their previous EP, The Bake Sale [click to read] has sold more than 31,000 copies in the U.S since its release in June. With their album coming out soon, the guys promise the same fun and carefree style, with a much more mature quality.

“We’re taking everything we did and just doing it 30 million times better. We’re still ourselves, I ain’t switching the game up for nobody. We’re still ourselves and we’re just going to do the stuff that we do and just continue to get way better at it. The beats, way better. The raps, way better. We’re pretty simple dudes, if you can stick to basics and fine tune what you’re doing, you’ll be straight.” the group added in a statement.

When Fish Ride Bicycles is scheduled for release before the end of 2008.
