Rumors of rapper Yung Berg being robbed and assaulted in Detroit over the weekend, resulting in a scheduled performance being canceled just hours prior to the show are TRUE.
The rapper was in Detroit to headline local radio station Hot 102.7's Summer Jam on Saturday (August 23) -- which also included the likes of Mike Jones, Shawty Lo, and Mario -- but missed the performance, reportedly due to an altercation the night before at a local nightclub.
Berg made an appearance at the Plan B nightclub, where upon arrival he was he and an associate were attacked by a group of men allegedly affiliated with local rapper Trick Trick.
However, witnesses say that Trick was not involved in the scuffle and instead, helped break up the fight. Berg's Transformers chain was snatched during the fiasco though.
Following the fight, Berg's security rushed him out the door, and later took him to his hotel. He is said to have suffered minor cuts and bruises, which did not call for medical attention
So far, both Trick Trick and Yung Berg have yet to comment on the incident.
