Max B Free From Byrd Gang, Free From the Wrath of Jim Jones

Max B. and Jim Jones have been engaged in a battle of words for some time now. But it looks like things could get pretty interesting moving forward. The “Silver Surfer” rapper is now free from his Byrd Gang contract with Jones, XXL has learned.

“I’m as free as a bird,” the rapper told XXL exclusively. “Now it gives me the ability to ride without no remorse, no sympathy, no pity. I’m riding on everything. I’m riding. I’ma ride on my rivalry for the season. It’s gonna be so wavy. So big, so heavy, so controversial. It’s gonna be like none other.

“I’m gonna speak about everything, Jim Jones,” Max continued. “I got more deep, down, dark secrets.”

The rapper said he was able to get out of his contract through legal negotiations. He explained he’s received paper work from the New York Secretary of State that prevents Jones from pursuing legal action against Max B. in the future. He’s recognized as Persona Suri Juris.

“I’m not even part of the U.S. Government laws,” Max B. said. “I’m not a citizen of the United States, I’m dead ass. My laws, the laws you go by, I don’t have to follow. As long as I don’t purposely hurt nobody, I’m straight.”

The rapper said his next move is to release a mixtape and a DVD. The DVD, “Animal House,” will chronicle Max’s past year and his tribulations. The mixtape is the final in the “Public Domain” series. PD5, according to Max, will include up to 15 original tracks and a few freestyles. The rapper said he’s ready to start a bidding war between record labels for his services. For his next album, he hopes to collaborate with the likes of Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, and Nelly Furtado. “I’m gonna be 10 times better than Jim Jones ever was,” Max said.

If your not familiar with the past happenings Max B who was signed to Byrdgang (Jim Jones label) was incarcerated and put on like a 2.5 million dollar bail, which Jim Jones "paid for", but in return Max B sold ALL of his publishing rights, so everything Max wanted to release had to go through Jimmy first.

Max B then left Byrdgang and released slew of Jim Jones disses for some reason and since Jimmy owns him Max could never release an official album.

Jim Jones & Juelz Santana's Entourage Involved In Scuffle

An informal gathering of stars in Atlanta was marred by a brief moment of violence this afternoon (October 19), when an altercation erupted involving members of rapper Jim Jones' entourage.

According to an eye witness, a melee broke out shortly after We The Best/Def Jam artist Ace Hood wrapped the video shoot for his second single, "Ride," featuring Trey Songz, Juelz Santana and Rick Ross.

The shoot, which took place directly across the street from Busta Rhymes' taping for his "Arab Money" video, attracted various celebrities who were visiting Atlanta for the BET Hip-Hop Awards.

As celebrities like Polow Da Don, Young Buck, Jadakiss, DJ Khaled, and Juelz Santana were making their exits, several men exited the soundstage, chasing an unidentified man.

Seconds later, the man was reportedly assaulted by a group of men, who were allegedly part of Jim Jones’ and Juelz Santana's entourage.

Immediately following the fight, both Jones and Santana were rushed away from the scene by their security details.

The alleged victim walked away from the incident apparently unscathed.

Max B Speaks On Freekey Zekey Incident

Rapper Max B has revealed that though he did have a run in with the law in New York over the weekend, his brief arrest was not related to rumored beef with his former Dipset and Byrdgang affiliates.

Earlier this week, a video surfaced in which DipSet South/Big Cat Records artist Freekey Zekey claimed that he and one time collaborator Max B were involved in an altercation outside of South Bronx gentleman’s club Sin City late Thursday night (October 9). According to Freekey’s account of the incident, as well as that of an eye witness, their verbal confrontation promptly turned physical, leading to Max B’s arrest.

However Max B revealed to AllHipHop.com exclusively that he was, in fact, in Miami at the time and did not return to New York until Saturday morning (October 11). It was at that time that the artist was briefly detained by the NYPD for a much tamer reason. Max B, born Charly Wingate, was arrested as a result of several warrants issued for a failure to properly respond to up to 30 traffic violations, he explained.

While Max B continues to release music via the mixtape circuit that lead to his success as a member of Jim Jones’ Byrd Gang crew, a studio album may not come as swiftly as fans might hope. In a recent interview with Rhapsody.com, Jim Jones indicated that by repeatedly airing his grievances publicly, Max B may have irreparably damaged his future career.

“I own him, so you tell me when his album’s gonna come out,” Jones said. “He sold his publishing to me for like 100 stacks or whatever the bail was when he was cryin’ to me to get out of jail. He signed to me, not Asylum. He won’t be coming out with an album anytime soon.”

Max B on the other hand maintains that he has no beef with his former crew, acknowledging, albeit sarcastically, that he “couldn’t have made it this far without them.”

You really can't blame Jim Jones for doin' this to him, I don't know what was running through Max B's head when he made like 20 diss tracks.

Jim Jones Speaks On Nas, Cam'ron, Max B, T.I. & More

Now that you and Cam aren’t really on good terms, is there regret on your part that you went to bat for Cam and got into a beef with Nas?

Nah. F*ck Nas. I don’t give a f*ck about Nas. He’s a rapper that just lost his pizazz. When I was in high school, he was the sh*t. He was the n*gg* that got us hype. “New York State Of Mind,” Illmatic, and all of that.

Is there any possibility of a reconciliation?
What kind of reconciliation? I was never cool with him. I seen Nas a few months ago in L.A with Dame. We was staying in this hotel right above the Ferrari Dealership. Dame seen him and was talking to him. I was laying back on a couch laughing. He didn’t know what to do. I was looking dead at him. [Laughs]. And then Dame was like, “You know Jim?” He started [stammering], “Ah? Ah?” Dame is just burnt out. He not thinking about none of that frivolous [beef] sh*t. Me neither for the most part. Nas was never on my level ever. Ever.

Former Byrdgang member Max B has been posting videos taking shots at you and saying an alteraction took place between you two. What are you thoughts on these?
There’s one thing about YouTube, people get up there and say what they want, but there’s never, ever any proof. If there was anything I’ve ever done, believe me, somebody validated would tell you about it. And besides, I own him. From the crown of his head to the soles of his feet. So you tell me when his album’s gonna come out? He sold his publishing to me for like 100 stacks for whatever the bail was when he was cryin' to me to get out of jail. That's my sneaker money. So he sold his publishing [to me] for whatever the bail was. I own him. He signed to me. Not no Asylum. He won’t be coming out with an album anytime soon.

So any deal he does, he has to go through you?
Yeah I’m the Don Dada. You gotta come speak to Daddy. I’m Steinbrenner in the situation. Who’s your daddy? Dada. Padre. Me. Let’s get to that. Did he look good showing the car that was tore up? How would that story go? Like, I would never wanna show my car being tore up, there’s no way around it. Like, how did it get tore up like that. “I was trying to get away from crashing cars.” You sound wild. I don’t know what happened that day, you smell me? [Laughs].

Who do you feel like right now is holding it down for New York?
All these n*gg*s have been around and they still not doing nothing. They trying to catch up to me right now, literally. I’m the point of interest right now. Who’s been more relevant than me the past 3 years as far as New York is concerned? As far as style, fashion, speakin’ my mind, political awareness, and stuntin’ on n*gg*s. Ladies love me. Police know my name on a first and last basis. They respect me for a [being a] G. They ain’t trying to lock me up for weed so I’m having a ball. I probably smoke like a half an ounce a day. N*gg*s know how instrumental I am to New York. There’s no one gonna be able to do what I’ve done as far as the work I’ve put in and the things I’ve accomplished and the things I’ve escaped unscathed for another 20 years. I don’t have to have nothing out and I still shut shit down. Me and Juelz go on any stage in the world and shut the whole thing down.

Wow his arrogance on that last question is shameful, read the whole interview here
